On the Earth

An International Touring Initiative for Emerging Canadian Classical Artists

Project Summary

On the Earth is a bold international touring initiative that brings Canada’s emerging classical musicians onto the global stage. Designed to amplify Canadian artistic voices and foster meaningful cross-cultural dialogue, the project presents a series of live concerts across four continents — including stops in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and North America.

In 2026, On the Earth will showcase original programming and vibrant

performances in a range of venues — from historic concert halls to contemporary art spaces. Each event offers audiences an opportunity to encounter the depth, diversity, and vitality of Canada’s next generation of classical talent.

Beyond the stage, the tour is rooted in artistic exchange. Collaborations with local ensembles, institutions, and creative partners at each destination foster dialogue, learning, and mutual inspiration. These cultural encounters help young Canadian artists grow professionally, broaden their perspectives, and build lasting international networks.

This is more than a concert tour — it is an artistic journey.

Through music, On the Earth invites shared experience, global connection, and a renewed vision of classical music in the world today.

Format

  • International Residencies and Performances
A global concert tour across four continents, featuring live performances by emerging Canadian classical musicians in major cultural centres such as Berlin, Singapore, Sydney, and New York. Events will take place in a range of venues—from historic halls to contemporary art spaces—and may include short residencies with local artists and institutions.

  • Collaborative Engagements
At each stop, participating musicians will collaborate with local ensembles, artists, musicians, conservatories, and community partners to foster meaningful artistic exchange and shared learning experiences.

  • Digital Promotion
A strong promotional strategy will support artists through high-quality photos, bilingual digital marketing content, and social media outreach designed to connect with international audiences and stakeholders.

Goals & Impact

  • Support emerging Canadian classical musicians (ages 18–35) in gaining international exposure, building networks, and advancing their professional careers.

  • Enhance the global visibility of Canadian classical music through original programming and artist-driven concerts.

  • Foster artistic and cultural dialogue across continents by connecting Canadian artists with diverse international audiences and collaborators.

  • Provide musicians with sustainable, internationally relevant promotional tools and institutional support.

  • Engage young and culturally curious audiences worldwide through innovative, inclusive programming.

Why This Project Matters

Canadian classical artists face real barriers to accessing international stages and networks, from logistical limitations to visibility challenges. On the Earth directly addresses these needs by creating a robust touring framework that promotes artistic excellence, builds global relationships, and empowers Canadian musicians to be cultural ambassadors.
